Maple has been the choice wood for cutting boards for over a century because of its durability and tight grain structure. This end grain maple board has two checkerboard stripes that give it a truly unique pattern. The end grain construction is also easier on knives since the knife cuts into the grain and not across it. This board is made with natural woods and sealed with all natural and food grade oils and waxes. No stains or varnishes are ever used or applied to any of our products. The color you see is the natural beauty of the wood. For more information on caring for wooden cutting boards please read the Care and Maintenance section on this site. The boards are glued together with Titebond III food safe glue which is waterproof to ensure a long lasting product that will last for years to come.
